The project was initiated by the town council, Josef Stangassinger, the council's representative for public green spaces and chairman of the Bischofswiesen Fruit and Horticulture Association, along with other stakeholders. The aim is to create an informative and nature-oriented circular trail that makes the importance of bees to the ecosystem tangible.

The planned bee trail leads from the school building, past the "Green Classroom," along the Maximilian Riding Trail, past the sports field and the municipal depot with its rock garden, to the nature garden near the orchard, and finally back to the school. Various stations will be set up along the route, where walkers can learn interesting facts about bees and their vital role in nature.

In cooperation with the Biosphere Region, the establishment of a so-called Biosphere Hub is also planned. Furthermore, a wild bee habitat will be created, and themed carvings will be installed to further enhance the trail. To cover the overall costs of the project, it is all the more important to receive donations like this one, which will contribute to the realization of this sustainable endeavor.

The Bischofswiesen Citizens' Foundation extends its sincere thanks for the support and hopes for further funding to make the bee trail a reality. This project will not only create an attractive local recreation area but also make an important contribution to environmental education and the protection of native biodiversity.
